After long-term planning and editing, we have devoted ourselves to launching this "Practical Core Regulations Series" (80 volumes) to meet the multi-level needs of readers for current legal and regulatory information.
Compiling legal and regulatory documents is not simply about packaging and stacking them together; it should incorporate the compiler's vision and intellectual effort. Many of the currently published individual legal and regulatory books are simply categorized by subject matter without considering or including all related regulatory information or prioritizing it. To address this situation, we have established our own editing philosophy:

Based on this philosophy and market research, we have classified the current complex and fragmented legal regulations and judicial interpretations according to the social relationships they regulate, particularly the main groups of people whose behaviors they govern. We have divided them into 80 specialized topics, covering fields such as politics, economy, culture, science and technology, education, and social life, making it easier for readers to choose and meet the diverse needs of different reader groups for specific legal and regulatory information. For example, categorized by regulatory fields, there are works such as Practical Core Regulations on Criminal Law, Practical Core Regulations on Evidence, Practical Core Regulations on Press and Publication, Practical Core Regulations on Legal Aid, and Practical Core Regulations on the Protection of Laborers' Rights. Categorized by the main groups of people they regulate, there are works such as Practical Core Regulations for Deputies to the National People's Congress and Practical Core Regulations for Civil Servants.
Additionally, to help readers find every legal regulation quickly, conveniently, and economically, we have structured each volume around the main law, including all related information. Each volume is divided into three parts:
1. The main law;
2. Implementation rules, departmental rules, and judicial interpretations;
3. Appendices with an index of all other legal information related to the field.
For each legal regulation, this series functions like a mini encyclopedia, providing readers with all the necessary information in one volume.
China Zhengfang Publishing House has published relatively few legal compilations, but each one that has been published has been well-received and best-selling. The "Zhengfang Edition" legal compilations have produced many outstanding works. The Complete Current Legal Regulations and Judicial Interpretations of the People's Republic of China has been continuously revised 11 times since its first edition in 1997, with a total circulation exceeding 120,000 sets, standing out among tools of similar scale. The Latest Common Economic Legal Regulations has been revised 17 times since its publication in 1994, with a circulation exceeding 200,000 copies. The Latest Common Legal Regulations of the People's Republic of China is the first legal compilation in China to use computers to analyze tens of thousands of cases and social activities, first filtering out the most frequently applied legal regulations and then editing them based on an internal logic that facilitates easy retrieval. In just two years since its release, it has circulated over 30,000 copies.
By the end of 2002, our publishing house devoted itself to producing The Complete Legal Regulations of the People's Republic of China, approved by the Legal Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, challenging current domestic publications with its low price and high volume.
This demonstrates our publishing house's extensive experience in compiling legal regulations. The newly launched "Practical Core Regulations Series" has also undergone extensive research, with renowned legal experts serving as consultants and a large writing team organized over a long period.
