How to handle a miscarriage cleverly?

Patient's question:

I did an ultrasound on October 19th: an area of darkness was detected on the right side of the uterine cavity: 29.17.26MM, with no yolk sac or heartbeat observed. The outer edge of the dark area was about 5MM away from the right serosa. Later, on the third day of admission, October 20th, the fetus naturally passed out, and it was diagnosed as a missed miscarriage. I took medicine to expel blood and had three injections, but did not undergo a D&C. On October 25th, another ultrasound showed a 4MM combined dark area inside the uterus, and I was discharged.
A few days after coming home, my symptoms cleared up. Now, 12 days later, I have started bleeding again—it’s brownish and has some long, stringy discharge. Could this be my period? Because it’s around the time I used to get my period. Should I still consider a D&C?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, if you are having your period, you don't need a uterine clearance. Pay attention to carefully observe the amount of flow, duration, and other details. It is recommended that you have a follow-up ultrasound after the period ends to check how the uterus has fully recovered. Suggestions:
1. Use warm water to rinse the external genital area and maintain local cleanliness and dryness.
2. Strictly prohibit sexual activity and tub baths within the first month after the procedure. Avoid spicy and irritating foods.
3. Maintain a calm mood and minimize exercise as much as possible.
