Does an abortion still affect fertility?

Patient's question:

I just had an abortion with anesthesia a couple of days ago. This is already the third time, but the intervals between each were quite long. Will it affect future fertility?

Doctor's answer:

Many times of induced abortion can easily lead to conditions such as uterine bleeding, endometrial infection, urinary tract infections, and infertility. The more frequent the artificial abortion, the higher the chance of causing the aforementioned conditions. If a woman's body's "hidden damage" and "obvious damage" form a vicious cycle, the functions of various parts of the body, including immunity, may prematurely decline. Severe cases may lead to habitual abortion in the future.
