Features: This book is based on the final report of the World Bank project "Research on Policy Innovation for Water Pollution Control in China," and is divided into 5 chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the research background and methodology; Chapter 2 systematically evaluates China's current water pollution control policies based on the research methodology proposed in Chapter 1, identifying the main problems in the current water pollution control management system, management measures, and investment and financing policies. Chapters 3 and 4 select two case studies—the Huai River and Dianchi—to assess water pollution control management systems, environmental management measures, and environmental investment and financing policies from three aspects, and propose corresponding policy improvements and reform recommendations. Chapter 5, based on the forecast of water pollution trends in the next 10 years, proposes 10 major strategic countermeasures for China's water pollution control, as well as specific reform and innovation suggestions for the water pollution control management system, policy measures, and investment and financing systems.
