Features: This art album features selected works from different periods of her career. She loves painting animals, especially cats. She skillfully uses ink tones, both light and dark, to render the forms of cats, while fully utilizing the penetration of water to enhance the volume and fluffy texture of the cats. With concise and rustic techniques, she vividly portrays the cuteness and intelligence of cats, embodying the freedom and fluidity of Chinese painting, like flowing clouds and water. The cats in her works possess both naive charm and clever expressions, brought to life with just a few strokes, revealing their emotions vividly. Her father, Master Kuchan, once happily inscribed on her paintings, "Unique in spirit." The cat's head is slightly tilted, its large eyes deeply gazing at you with affection, its elegant posture and lively brushwork captivating. Other works like "The Sisters" and "The Clever Mouse Has Vanished, Accompanied by Bottled Flowers on the Hall" depict different moods of cats, exuding a sense of tranquility. Li Jian's other animal paintings, such as chickens, birds, owls, and adorable children, are equally lively. With bold colors, they are bright, playful, and carry the characteristics of folk art, reflecting the strengths of our national painting tradition. Li Jian expresses the emotions of animals with lyrical brushwork, revealing their personalities in a concise and precise manner. Her simple yet refined techniques convey a rich emotional world, making her works delightful to the eye and hard to put down.
