Patient's question:
1. Ovarian cyst, 3.12.1, is it for surgery? What are the surgical options? How long after surgery can sexual activity be resumed? Is it done after menstruation is clean?2. 2-degree cervical erosion, should the ovarian cyst surgery be done first or is it better to have microwave treatment for the erosion first?
Doctor's answer:
Hello: The only treatment for benign ovarian tumors is surgical removal. For cysts with a diameter of less than 5 to 6 cm, careful observation can be performed for 3 to 6 months. If the cyst size decreases or the tumor diameter is less than 5 cm but is a solid tumor, surgical removal should be performed. For children and young nulliparous patients, unilateral oophorectomy or unilateral adnexectomy is often adopted. If the bilateral ovarian benign tumors are present, the doctor may consider performing an ovarian tumor enucleation to preserve as much ovarian tissue as possible, thereby maintaining menstrual and fertility functions.
