Features: This book breaks away from the conventional norms of children's literature, refusing to merely beautify life. Zhou Rui places the figures of the Three Kingdoms in their original social environment, where there is competition for fame and profit, quarrels between couples, and even phenomena like "three companionship." The content covers various aspects such as private education, pet ownership, intellectual property protection, biogenetic cultivation, beauty fashion, and counterfeit products. Zhou Rui's perspective is incredibly broad. The experiences of the Three Kingdoms characters he depicts are as diverse and colorful as the daily lives of modern people. It is believed that children will relate to this familiar environment and thereby identify with the new, humorous Three Kingdoms characters. This is undoubtedly a bold move. Most Chinese parents are not accustomed to exposing their children to the other side of society. However, parents' deliberate avoidance cannot create a perfect world for children; instead, it may only increase their confusion. Today's children have many ways of engaging with society. They need far more than just completely pure air. Perhaps we should take inspiration from foreign educational philosophies and present a realistic yet understandable world to children. The key is to convey the message in a way that children can comprehend, and Zhou Rui does this through humor—he uses laughter to subtly express his own viewpoints and attitudes. The author's is clearly revealed through the witty confessions of his characters. Zhou Rui's Three Kingdoms is a playful Three Kingdoms, and it is also a humorous Three Kingdoms; it is a Three Kingdoms written for children. Humor and the Three Kingdoms seem unrelated; games and the Three Kingdoms don't seem to have much in common either. But Zhou Rui's Humorous Three Kingdoms uses a humorous touch and a gaming approach to rewrite the famous Three Kingdoms stories. This newly released original Chinese humorous children's literature from Zhejiang Children's Publishing House immediately captivated me upon turning the page with its unique expression. It seems Zhou Rui has discovered a magical path to children's hearts. He effortlessly cartoonizes and humorizes the classic figures while preserving their distinct personalities. The Three Kingdoms characters we are familiar with are, with vivid personalities and actions that reflect their individual traits. Zhou Rui narrates their lives in a playful tone, blending the Three Kingdoms stories into humorous scenarios. Humor is an attractive quality—it is innate yet difficult to cultivate. Tall and imposing Zhou Rui rarely possesses such a gift, which gives his novels a distinctive style. Zhou Rui's humor is unconventional, cleverly crafted, and unexpectedly surprising, stemming from the playful atmosphere that permeates his writing. In the early years of childhood, when a person's playful spirit is most abundant and their true nature most fully expressed, games become a way to understand, experience, and transcend life. In children's lives, while concepts like "playing house," being a small leader, or a little official exist, what differs is that compared to adults' focus on outcomes, children may prioritize whether something is "funny" or "fun." In their world, games are a means to understand, experience, and surpass life. Therefore, within their perspective, nothing is too serious, and no obstacle is insurmountable.
