Patient's question:
I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please tell me what symptoms are associated with ovarian inflammation?Doctor's answer:
Hello, ovarianitis may have the following clinical manifestations:(1) Abdominal pain: Dull pain in the lower abdomen, often a subtle discomfort, accompanied by aching, fullness, and a sense of heaviness or dragging in the lower back and sacral area. The pain may worsen with physical exertion. Due to pelvic adhesions, there may be pain during bladder or rectal fullness or emptying, or other bladder/rectal irritation symptoms, such as frequent urination or tenesmus.
(2) Irregular menstruation: This is more common with frequent menstrual periods and excessive menstrual flow, possibly resulting from pelvic congestion and ovarian dysfunction. Chronic inflammation can lead to uterine fibrosis, incomplete uterine involution, or abnormal uterine positioning due to adhesions, all of which may cause heavy menstrual bleeding.
