Features: "The Analects" encompass all the important contents of ethics and political science. The author of this book has discovered that the classical Chinese culture has a completely different aspect than any previous annotators. Through a fresh exploration of the text, language, and the logical thought of "The Analects" at these three interrelated cultural levels, the book not only convincingly reveals the great personality and great thoughts of Confucius to people, but also clearly and vividly portrays the overall social and historical context of China at that time, which compelled Confucius and his disciples to speak, think, and act in such ways. Therefore, this book is not only a work of ancient Chinese linguistics, but also a work of ancient Chinese linguistics, philosophy, history, and indeed a work of ancient Chinese culture.
