How is it better to treat uterine polyps?

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried it might affect fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please advise what I should pay attention to regarding uterine polyps? Are there any dietary restrictions?

Doctor's answer:

1. For larger pedunculated polyps, which can be encountered or palpated in the lower segment of the uterus, they can be removed by dilating the cervix, followed by a cervical and uterine scraping procedure to remove any remaining polyps and send them for pathological examination.
2. For small focal or diffuse polyps, a D&C (dilation and curettage) procedure should be performed, with attention to thorough scraping, especially at the fundus and cornual areas of the uterus.
3. After uterine surgery, anti-infection treatment should be administered. Clinical diagnosis may involve oral antibiotics or intravenous administration.
4. For patients with obvious erosion symptoms that do not respond to the above treatments or frequently recur, hysterectomy should be considered.
