Cervical polyps are a common gynecological condition and a fundamental clinical feature of chronic cervical inflammation. Cervical polyps are often overlooked. Because more than one-third of patients lack obvious symptoms and are only discovered during a thorough examination by a doctor. Even if symptoms are present, they are usually mild, primarily characterized by a small amount of slight bleeding with fresh red discharge, or slight bleeding after sexual activity, which is sometimes mistaken for "menstruation." In some cases, the bleeding volume can resemble a menstrual period. Some patients may have yellowish leukorrhea, most of which has an odor, or leukorrhea containing blood streaks. It can also manifest as postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, and married patients often present with a swollen mass protruding from the vaginal opening.
