Patient's question:
I got married last year, and recently I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain. It's especially bad during my period, and I'm very worried it might affect my fertility. I also feel extremely cold and fear the cold. Could you please explain what trichomoniasis is?Doctor's answer:
Got trichomoniasis, which reduces the vaginal defense ability. After vaginal cleaning or at night, insert 200 mg of metronidazole into the vagina. A 10-day course is one treatment. Alternatively, you can use one tablet of metronidazole or 200 mg of carbarsone inserted into the vagina. Precautions during treatment are to prevent re-infection. During the treatment period, underwear and hygiene utensils should be boiled and sterilized. Due to the high likelihood of recurrence after treatment, re-examination should be conducted 3 to 5 days after menstruation. Avoid sexual activity during treatment to prevent re-infection.
