Is abdominal pain not a sign of ectopic pregnancy?

Patient's question:

My last menstrual period was on December 4th. On January 4th, it didn't come, and on the 5th, I took a pregnancy test which showed a positive but not very clear result. On the 13th, I had an ultrasound which showed no abnormalities. On the 17th, I had another ultrasound but still no signs of pregnancy, although the urine test said I was pregnant. On the 18th, I had a color Doppler ultrasound which also showed no abnormalities, but the blood test said I was pregnant. I started spotting on the 16th, and I have some abdominal pain, but it's not severe. Could I have an ectopic pregnancy?
Past Treatment and Effects: In July 2011, I had an abortion under anesthesia. I have no known allergies.
