Features: According to the custom of Shanghai people, after the New Year, the elderly Shi Zhecun turned 97. His well-received "Talks on Art" has been continued, still published by Wenhui Press. This book, "Beishan Talks on Art Continued," remains Shi Zhecun's "small essays on ancient knowledge." It collects 164 pieces of inscriptions and annotations by the elderly on appreciating bronze artifacts, musical stones, and precious inkstones, nearly two-thirds of which have never been published before. Each piece is accompanied by illustrations. Shi Zhecun said that when he saw the manuscript of the "Continued Edition," his "spirit was rejuvenated. He recalled the past quiet period when his mind was scattered, but bronze artifacts and musical stones seemed to come to life. First, he collected old and new stone rubbings from all dynasties, then expanded to bronze inscriptions from the Three Dynasties, Qin, and Han periods, gradually accumulating, researching and verifying, and jotting down a few words of annotation." After the publication of "Beishan Talks on Art," the elderly "read through it once and felt it had great elegance," and readers writing to discuss it with him made him even happier. He expressed that if the enthusiasm for cultural relics remains undiminished and scholars share the same interest, he would still be willing to publish the "Third Collection" of "Talks on Art."
