Features: On March 14, 2004, the Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress passed the "Amendment to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China," which marked the fourth amendment to the "Constitution of the People's Republic of China" adopted by the Fifth National People's Congress on December 4, 1982. In his explanation on the "Amendment to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China" at the Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress, Vice Chairman Wang Zhaoguo pointed out: To safeguard the authority and dignity of the Constitution, ensure the unity of the constitutional text, and facilitate the study and implementation of the Constitution, it is proposed that after the session adopts the constitutional amendment, the General Secretariat of the National People's Congress should make corresponding revisions to the relevant content of the Constitution based on the amendment, and simultaneously publish the original text of the 1982 Constitution, the historical constitutional amendments, and the revised text according to the constitutional amendment. In accordance with this, the original 1982 Constitution, four constitutional amendments, and the revised constitutional text based on the four amendments are hereby published simultaneously.
