How should common ovarian cysts be treated?

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please advise on the treatment for bilateral ovarian cysts? After a thorough CT scan, what should be done?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, I don't know how big your ovarian cyst is. The current best treatment for cysts is surgery.
1. For scattered, relatively small cervical glandular cysts, treatment is generally not required, just annual check-ups.
2. For dense, smaller Nabothian cysts or larger cysts, phototherapy, laser, microwave, or cryosurgery can be considered.
3. For larger cysts that are weakly attached to the surface of the cervix, electrocautery excision can be considered. If the tumor is 5cm, immediate surgery is necessary.
The surgical scope is chosen based on the patient's age, fertility plans, and type of inflammation, including simple tumor excision, unilateral adnexectomy, and bilateral adnexectomy.
