Features: We have not selected large-scale monographs like "Studies on the Shangshu Cited in Wenxuan by Li Shan" by Spinoro Rokuro or "Research on the Text of Bai Juyi's Collection Based on Old Manuscripts" by Taro Ota for this series. These works hold high academic value but have a limited readership. They are important, and we hope to introduce them when the conditions are met. What we aim to do first is to help readers get acquainted with a group of more accessible guests, that is, books written by scholars for non-Chinese specialists. The selected bibliography includes a few new works, but most are "small books" written by "Daigaku" (University). Some focus on preserving Chinese documentary materials, others on filling gaps in local Chinese studies, some on the historical role in Sino-Japanese relations research, and some on their influence in the Japanese academic world. We take one aspect at a time, not seeking perfection, accumulating little by little, without strict criteria, balancing academic rigor and readability. Through this series, readers can gradually meet those long-known but unseen scholars, sharing the landscape of Japanese Sinology.
