What are the taboos for patients with vulvar leukoplakia?

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please tell me what are the taboos for patients with leukoplakia of the external genitalia?

Doctor's answer:

Vulvar leukoplakia is a type of vulvar dystrophy. In clinical diagnosis, it is also known as non-neoplastic intraepithelial inflammation of the vulva. Its clinical diagnostic features include itching, stinging, or burning sensation in the vulva, and difficulty or pain during intercourse when the vulva is atrophic. Many vulvar inflammatory conditions, such as leukoplakia, leukoplakic vulvitis, vulvar xerosis, lichen sclerosus, hypertrophic vulvitis, and neurodermatitis, fall into this category. It is recommended to use Enfusone cream or vitamin A acid cream for treatment. Laser therapy can be tested, or 2% hydrocortisone ointment can be used to reduce swelling and relieve pain. Alternatively, 2% testosterone propionate cod liver oil ointment can be applied.
