Postoperative Precautions for Endometritis

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I also feel extremely cold and fear the cold. What are the postoperative precautions for endometritis?

Doctor's answer:

When suffering from endometritis, it is crucial to avoid sexual activity, as inflammation can further spread. Due to increased vaginal discharge, abdominal pain, or lower back pain and a sense of heaviness, the female may experience a rise in sexual interest and boredom. Patients with endometritis should maintain cleanliness of the external genitalia, wash the area daily, and change underwear to prevent reinfection. In terms of dietary management, it is recommended to drink plenty of water and consume a diet rich in protein and vitamins. During the illness, sexual activity should be avoided. If the patient is a postpartum woman, do not keep the door closed due to postpartum or fever. Instead, maintain a warm, well-ventilated, and fresh-air environment. Additionally, avoid wearing excessive clothing to prevent excessive sweating. The bedding and kitchen attire should be kept at a comfortable, moderate temperature.
