Features: "Elementary Japanese Listening Textbook" was compiled according to the requirements of the university Japanese major teaching syllabus and the actual needs of Japanese teaching at our school. It is suitable for first-year students of Japanese major in universities, first and second-year students of non-Japanese major, as well as other self-learners of Japanese. In terms of content, it focuses on the social life and customs of Japanese people. This textbook is divided into three parts: Phonetics, Basic Listening, and Listening Comprehension Practice. The Phonetics section is designed based on the characteristics of Japanese pronunciation. In addition to learning Japanese pronunciation, it requires students to clearly distinguish syllable phonemes such as long vowels, short vowels, sokuon (sudden stop), clear consonants, and voiced consonants through listening exercises during the phonetics stage. The Basic Listening section is compiled according to basic Japanese grammar and sentence patterns, with a total of 46 lessons consisting of texts and dialogues. The basic requirement is that students can complete the listening exercises after the text and dialogue after listening to the recording once. The forms of practice mainly include answering questions, multiple-choice, and fill-in-the-blanks. It requires learners to accurately and quickly judge the linguistic context after listening to the recording, grasp the key points of the short passages and dialogues, and understand and memorize the conceptual meaning, thereby achieving the goal of improving listening skills.
