Author Bio: Huang Ruiqi was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and grew up in Taipei. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in sociology from National Taiwan University and his Ph.D. from King's College, University of Cambridge. He served as a researcher at the Institute of European and American Studies at the Academia Sinica and is a part-time professor at sociology departments of National Taiwan University and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He has been a visiting scholar at universities such as Cambridge, New York, and Harvard. Research Fields: Sociology, sociological theory, knowledge sociology, cultural studies, etc.
