Features: The famous animated series "Tom and Jerry" was created by producer Fred Quimby, director William Hanna, and Joseph Barbera in 1939. After the successful short animation "Tom Gets Boots," Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer produced over 100 "Tom and Jerry" cartoons in the following 25 years. This animated series is entirely characterized by farce, with very lively plots. In 1942, "Tom and Jerry" and all of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's other works were included in Dell/Western's comic magazine "Our Gang" by Dell/Western. Starting from the 40th issue, Tom and Jerry became the cover image of the magazine. After "Tom and Jerry" reached its peak of popularity in issue #193 of "Our Gang" in 1948, it completely replaced "Our Gang" from the 194th issue. At first, Jerry and the diapered little gray mouse Tyke lived together in the same mouse hole under someone's house, seemingly under the surveillance of Tom, who tried hard to drive out these annoying roommates. The story of these clever mice and the foolish cat is comparable to the partnership of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Without the cruelty of a brutal hierarchy in the animal world, only the daily squabbles and disputes between two neighbors, such as the little mouse stealing Tom's cheese, Tom putting a mousetrap at Jerry's doorstep, and countless pranks and humorous segments, make you feel a long-lost innocence. The relationship between the cat and the mouse often changes instantly—becoming friends or enemies; when enemies, they exert all their minds and refuse to yield; when friends, they are as close as brothers, never holding grudges against each other.
