What are the effective treatments for anovulation?

Patient's question:

I've been married for a long time, but haven't had any children. After checking, it was found that I don't ovulate. What are some effective treatments for not ovulating?

Doctor's answer:

When mature follicles develop to a certain stage, they become noticeably thinner at the surface of the ovary. With the rapid increase in follicular fluid and the decrease in internal pressure, the weakened part of the ovary becomes increasingly thin and eventually ruptures. The secondary oocyte along with its surrounding translucent zona pellucida and cumulus cells is expelled from the ovary along with the follicular fluid, a process known as menopause. Due to ovarian dysfunction, menopause may be difficult or ovulation may be impaired. Among all methods for assessing menopause, the most accurate currently is transvaginal ultrasound monitoring. This method not only determines the presence of dominant follicles in both ovaries but also measures their size and the thickness of the endometrium. However, this approach is generally only used when the patient truly requires treatment for non-ovulation.
