Features: This book strives to reflect the latest theories, technologies, and methods in this field. The first part covers common diagnostic and treatment techniques, including physical examinations, auxiliary examinations, and therapeutic techniques. The second part focuses on disease diagnosis and treatment, compiling a total of 300 common clinical conditions, an increase from the original 254. Each condition is introduced under headings such as "Key Points of Diagnosis," "Differential Diagnosis," "Non-surgical Treatment," "Surgical Treatment," "Care and Precautions," and "Example of Medical Orders." For conditions that are not suitable for surgery, they are arranged under "Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment" and "Western Medicine Treatment." To enhance understanding, 156 illustrations have been included. To effectively implement the "Diagnostic and Therapeutic Standards for Traditional Chinese Medicine Diseases and Syndromes," this book incorporates 119 conditions from the standard (including all 113 orthopedic conditions and 6 related conditions from other departments). The "Diagnostic Basis" and "Pattern Classification" from the standard's conditions are included under the "Key Points of Diagnosis" for each disease in the book (with minor textual adjustments in a few cases), while the "Therapeutic Standards" are listed in the book's "Appendix V." The appendices also include an "Example of Orthopedic Case Documentation," providing a reference and convenience for writing clinical medical records. To facilitate the search for relevant data and information, the appendices compile "Normal Values for Bone and Joint Radiological Examinations" and "Common Laboratory Test Normal Values," and the decoctions of traditional Chinese medicine listed in the book are included in the "Common Formulas." The book is rich in content, covers a broad scope, is well-organized, and has high practical value and readability. It is believed that the writing and publication of this book will contribute to the development of the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine orthopedics field.
