Patient's question:
How did cervical cyst get? Hello, I am 34 years old. A few weeks ago, I received a thorough examination at the hospital and learned that I have a cervical cyst. How did this condition occur?Doctor's answer:
Hello, how does cervical cyst occur? Cervical cyst is a type of chronic cervical inflammation and a common gynecological disease. Cervical cyst is also known as Nabothian cyst. It is formed when the secretion within the gland cannot flow out during the healing process of cervical erosion, and excessive fibrosis of the newly formed squamous epithelium blocks the cervical glandular ducts. Generally, they are small and concentrated, weak on the surface of the cervix, and appear blue-white, retained within the glands to form cysts of varying sizes. For scattered and relatively small cervical glandular cysts, treatment is usually not required, just annual careful examination is sufficient. For dense and small Nabothian cysts or larger cysts, physical therapy can be considered. For larger cysts that are weak on the surface of the cervix, surgical removal can be considered.
