What foods are good to eat when you have uterine fibroids

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please advise on what foods are good for uterine fibroids?

Doctor's answer:

Uterine fibroids, also known as leiomyomas, are the most common benign tumors of the female reproductive system. Most are asymptomatic, while a very small number may present with symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, palpable abdominal masses, and pressure symptoms. The exact cause of this condition is unclear. Modern Western medicine employs hormone therapy or surgical treatment, with no other ideal therapies currently available. Minimally invasive surgery is the most effective method for treating uterine fibroids. The surgeon makes three small incisions, each about 5 millimeters in size, in hidden areas of the patient's abdomen and inserts a laparoscope. Through a television monitor connected to the laparoscope, the surgeon can clearly and carefully observe the magnified interior of the abdomen. The instruments left outside the patient's body are then used to perform the treatment.
