Features: If "the beat generation" is backed by a "system of choice," and "punk" is rooted in a "culture of dissent," then in today's world where "neoliberalism" has triumphed as the core of global capitalism, what lies behind the so-called "rebel youth"? Although for them, "fighting on the streets" is beautiful and "punk fashion" is cool, what is the goal of their resistance? "Beauty Literature" was one of the most notable phenomena in Chinese literary circles at the end of the 20th century and also one of the most influential literary concepts on new writers since the "70s" entered the literary scene. This study attempts to connect the pulse of four specific yet micro "small cases"—Waihui, Mianmian, Chunshu, and Zhang Yuexuan—from the perspectives of literary production, feminism, and subculture studies. Thus, it aims to present both a practical and comprehensive picture of the overall pulse of the larger case of "Beauty Literature."
