Features: A centenarian who dedicated half a century of his life to studying Lu Xun. Even in his later years, when he was half-paralyzed, he continued to write. This elderly man is named Zhang Nenggeng, who participated in the establishment of the Lu Xun Memorial Hall and served as its original head. With only a junior high school education, he achieved the status of a member of the Chinese Writers' Association through his diligent self-study and is known as the "living fossil" of Shaoxing's research community. He has published over ten monographs, including "Lu Xun's Youthful Days," "The Family of Lu Xun," and "Lu Xun's Archive," totaling over 3 million words. "The Record of Searching for Lu Xun's Relatives and Friends" is the crystallization of Zhang Nenggeng's lifelong efforts. Starting from 1951, he seized every opportunity to interview over 100 of Lu Xun's relatives and friends, including Lu Xun's younger brother Zhou Zuoren, Zhou Jianren, his wife Xu Guangping, as well as relatives, classmates, and friends with extraordinary connections to Lu Xun. Most of these individuals have passed away. The interview records from that time have become extremely valuable materials and documents.
