Features: In years of teaching practice, we often hear students complain that after completing the "Computer Language Course," they still face significant difficulties in actual programming. We believe the main issue lies in the in-class textbooks, which focus heavily on syntax and grammar instruction while offering limited guidance on practical application methods, skill development, and providing overly simple exercises that fail to meet students' needs for skill improvement and practical application. To address this, we have compiled this series, "Advanced Tutoring for 21st Century University Computer Language Courses."
1. Content Structure: The book is divided into two parts:
Part 1: Programming Learning Guidance. It is organized by chapters, each containing summarized key points, detailed example explanations, extended exercises, and reference answers. The concepts are clear, explanations are thorough, key points are highlighted, and the material is highly applicable, covering all essential knowledge points comprehensively.
Part 2: Programming Hands-on Guidance. This includes introductions to compilation environments, programming techniques, application examples, and classic games.
2. Features:
(1) Based on moderate difficulty and in-depth, easy-to-understand explanations, the book aims to genuinely help students improve their abilities.
(2) The contributors are experienced teachers who have long been involved in teaching computer language courses, graduation project guidance, and computer language training. They possess extensive practical development experience and a deep understanding of the common shortcomings students face in daily learning. Therefore, this series can help students address their typical learning challenges.
(3) While selecting domestic and international examples, the book provides detailed analyses of the problem-solving approaches for each example and emphasizes key program statements through annotations, striving to combine guidance with practicality.
(4) The programs in the book have been tested and can be directly used in real-world projects.
3. Scope of Application: The book is widely applicable, serving as a supplementary guide for course design and graduation projects in computer language courses, an auxiliary resource for software development learning, a reference for computer proficiency and software level exams, and a training manual for learners and entry-level programmers.
4. Companion CD-ROM: The accompanying CD-ROM includes source code resource files referenced in the book for debugging and execution. Additionally, it provides a new, real-simulation environment for the "National Computer Proficiency Examination Practice System," along with past exam questions to meet the needs of candidates for the exam.
