Features: This book proposes an auxiliary management system that corresponds to the process and influencing factors of information system value realization, primarily supported by information system value management theory and evaluation as the main implementation approach. It is called the "Evaluation-based Value Management (EVM) Model." This model is integrated into the entire lifecycle management process of information systems, actively ensuring and promoting the realization of information system value. Following the objective problem-solving pattern of "overview—theory—methodology—application methods," the research on the EVM model is first established on a review of information system value management and evaluation theory. It provides a detailed analysis of the connotation and realization process of information system value, summarizing the factors influencing the realization of information system value from perspectives such as inherent enterprise factors, solution design, implementation planning, organizational coordination, and active application. Then, it constructs an information system value management (EVM) model that incorporates evaluation methods throughout the entire lifecycle of information systems and corresponds to the influencing factors of information system value realization. The application methods of the EVM model are comprehensively introduced in the order of the investment decision-making and planning stage, IS implementation stage, and post-evaluation stage of information systems. In the end, the book validates the contribution of the EVM model to the overall value realization of enterprise information systems through evaluations of 10 important enterprise information system construction processes. It also applies EVM theory to explain the differences between two of the cases in detail.
