Introduction to Institutional Philosophy - Institutional Change and Social Development

Author: Yang Junyi

Publish Date: 2005-06-01
Features: This book originates from a research project on "Institutional Change and Social Development" commissioned by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. This project is a follow-up study based on the author's monograph "Institutional Change and Management Innovation." However, during the research process, it became evident that institutional change is not merely the application of new institutional economics theory in China, and social development is not simply the reconstruction of sociological transformation theory in China. Instead, it is a field that involves comprehensive research in economics, sociology, and philosophy. Therefore, during the research process, the emphasis is placed on the characteristics of "institutional philosophy," attempting to conduct exploratory research on China's institutional change and social development by building a research platform for institutional philosophy. Consequently, in terms of research structure and research objects, efforts are made to integrate methods from economics, sociology, and philosophy for constructive discussions and integration. However, from the perspective of the research structure of institutional philosophy, this book remains an exploratory attempt and still requires further refinement.
