Features: This is a book dedicated to discussing the rhetorical device of repetition in English. The book aims to adopt an approach of "multi-angle," "multi-level," and "interdisciplinary," striving to categorize and classify the rhetorical device of repetition in English from various aspects of the English language (i.e., repetition of letters or sounds, repetition of words, as well as semantic and structural repetition) in line with modern linguistic principles. The main text of the book consists of four chapters and twenty-eight sections, covering 44 rhetorical devices of repetition in English. It is the first to introduce and discuss devices such as Parallelism (Symmetry), Antithesis (Antithesis), Anagram (Anagram), Palindrome (Palindrome), Reduplicative Word (Reduplication), and Echo (Echo Repetition) under the category of repetition. The appendix also includes the longest palindrome ever recorded in the world, composed of thousands of English words, a spectacular and rare sight. The book attempts to analyze these rhetorical devices from the perspectives of pragmatics, translation studies, discourse linguistics, contrastive linguistics, psychology, cognitive linguistics, semantics, and information, providing possible examinations or interpretations. It is a book that combines innovation and practicality, integrating knowledge and interest.
