Private Law advocates for the integration of private law as a unified discipline for comprehensive study, placing special emphasis on fundamental theories of private law. It is an innovative and theoretically distinguished academic publication. In fact, the current civil code draft submitted to the National People's Congress for deliberation exhibits some legislative arbitrariness, which stems from a lack of general theoretical research on private law, particularly the lack of an integrated approach to studying private law as a whole. Without a comprehensive study of private law systems, theories, and spirit, it is difficult to ensure that the Civil Code has a complete system, and civil law may lose the inclusivity it should possess as a general law for civil society. This could also easily lead us to lose our way in the process of drafting China's Civil Code. In this sense, the author is delighted to witness the birth and growth of Private Law, hoping that it will continue to adhere to strict academic standards and rigorous academic norms, leaving a substantial legacy for the development of Chinese jurisprudence.
