Publication Date: 2005-08-01
Features: To implement the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Environmental Noise Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China," to control the noise emissions of three-wheeled vehicles and low-speed trucks, and to protect the environment, this standard has been formulated. Based on GB7258-2004 "Technical Conditions for the Operation of Motor Vehicles," the term "three-wheeled agricultural transport vehicle" has been renamed "three-wheeled vehicle," and the term "four-wheeled agricultural transport vehicle" has been renamed "low-speed truck." This standard specifies the noise limits and measurement methods for the type approval and production consistency inspection tests of three-wheeled vehicles and low-speed trucks in two implementation phases. This standard replaces the content on the noise limits and measurement methods of agricultural transport vehicles during accelerated driving from GB18-321-2001 "Noise Limits for Agricultural Transport Vehicles" and GB/T19118-2003 "Noise Measurement Methods for Agricultural Transport Vehicles" upon its issuance. Compared to GB18321-2001 and GB/T19118-2003, the main changes are as follows:
---
- The requirement for sound level meters used to measure the noise of agricultural transport vehicles during accelerated driving has been changed from Type 2 to Type 1;
- The conditions for measuring the noise of agricultural transport vehicles during accelerated driving have been reasonably adjusted;
- The provision that the maximum single result in the record is the measured noise value of the agricultural transport vehicle during accelerated driving has been changed to taking the larger value from the average noise on both sides of the vehicle as the measured vehicle's maximum noise value during accelerated driving.
Appendix A of this standard is normative, and Appendix B is informative. In accordance with relevant legal provisions, this standard has the force of law. This standard was proposed by the Science and Technology Standards Department of the National Environmental Protection Administration. This standard was drafted by the Atmospheric Research Institute of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences and the Development Research Center of Agricultural Transport Vehicles of the China Machinery Industry. This standard was approved by the National Environmental Protection Administration on May 30, 2005. This standard will come into effect on July 1, 2005. This standard is interpreted by the National Environmental Protection Administration.
