In English learning, reading and writing are two crucial components. Particularly in recent years, the proportion of reading and writing has been increasing in various English-related exams. To address this, we have developed this series of books, English Reading and Writing Integration Training, based on the national new curriculum standards. The series consists of six volumes: Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12. Each volume is tailored to the knowledge points and reading difficulty of the corresponding grade, featuring corresponding reading passages and writing exercises that organically combine reading comprehension with written expression, reflecting the close relationship and interdependence between reading and writing in English learning.
This series takes reading as its foundation and aims to improve writing skills. It selects targeted reading materials and sets exercises such as multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blanks, and sentence-making to micro-levelly train vocabulary usage and test grammar mastery. Building on this, it designs exercises around word usage, sentence structures, and idiomatic expressions, serving as a bridge to establish the "Writing Extension" section, ultimately improving readers' writing abilities.
Additionally, the written expression tasks provide specific requirements, such as expanding or summarizing reading materials, incorporating certain words, sentence structures, and idiomatic expressions, or practicing relevant writing styles based on the reading passage's theme. During this process, readers are encouraged to apply reading knowledge to writing practice and compare the two to identify gaps. This approach helps readers accumulate experience while improving both reading and writing skills.
