Features: "Commemorativity" is a medium that elevates landscapes to a higher level and guides observers to a deeper level of thought. Through it, it conveys richer semantic meanings. This book conducts foundational research on commemorative landscapes and further expands the connotation and extension of "landscape commemoration," proposing the concept of "the commemorative attribute of landscapes." It is a method of studying, understanding, and analyzing landscapes that originates from commemorativity, or a way of researching and interpreting the cultural connotations of landscapes by extending important attributes derived from it. From this, it derives different levels and meanings of "commemorativity," which refers to the spiritual and emotional dimensions of landscapes, presenting a methodology with practical and universal applicability. The book is divided into two parts: The first part is based on foundational research of landscape commemorativity. Through the description, classification, and analysis of examples, it achieves a comprehensive understanding and in-depth cognition of commemorativity, thoroughly and fully clarifying its expression, connotation, extension, form, and principles. The second part proposes a framework of methodologies inspired by landscape commemorativity for analyzing landscapes with spiritual dimensions. It suggests using a method that aims at landscape emotions, incorporating "meaning, context, and flow" as analytical tools, with "landscape semantics" as the cognitive content. It also attempts to provide interpretation models by analyzing some modern landscape examples.
