Features: To objectively test the German proficiency of individuals with equivalent academic qualifications and ensure the quality of degree conferment, in accordance with the "Regulations of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council on Granting Master's and Doctoral Degrees to Individuals with Equivalent Academic Qualifications" (adopted by the 16th meeting of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council on June 18, 1998) and the "Notice of the Office of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council on the Unified Examination for Foreign Language Proficiency of Working Personnel Applying for Master's Degrees with Equivalent Academic Qualifications" issued in 1994, individuals applying for master's degrees with equivalent academic qualifications must obtain the corresponding "National Unified Examination Certificate for Foreign Language Proficiency" as a prerequisite for obtaining their degrees, starting from September 1, 1995. The Foreign Language Proficiency Examination aims to strengthen the macro-control and standardized management of the grant of master's degrees to individuals with equivalent academic qualifications, and is an important step in the national examination for assessing the foreign language proficiency of applicants for master's degrees. In 1998, we organized relevant experts to compile and publish the "National Unified Examination Syllabus for German Proficiency of Individuals with Equivalent Academic Qualifications for Master's Degrees." Based on the experience of the pilot program, we organized experts to revise it twice successively in 1999 and 2003, with the third edition issued in 2003. Over the past two years, based on the suggestions of a large number of examinees and relevant experts, and summarizing the experience of the unified examination, we have organized experts from relevant fields to revise this book for the third time. The revised syllabus (fourth edition) will serve as the basis for the unified examination questions for German proficiency of individuals with equivalent academic qualifications for master's degrees in the coming years, a reference for universities and colleges in related teaching and tutoring, and also a reference material for examinees in review and preparation.
