Is there any method that is effective in treating ovarian cysts?

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. How can I effectively screen for ovarian cysts?

Doctor's answer:

Ovarian cysts can be physiological (meaning they are normal fluctuations in the menstrual cycle that can naturally resolve) or pathological (formed due to disease). Physiological cysts do not require surgery, while pathological cysts often need surgery for definitive diagnosis and additional treatment. For women of reproductive age, if an ovarian cyst is detected, the next course of action depends on the nature of the cyst. Ultrasound results are very helpful for diagnosis. For example, if MRI indicates that the cyst is anechoic (without echoes) and non-segmented, it is advisable to wait and see for 3 months. After 3 months, a repeat MRI can be performed for careful examination.
