Features: Challenges Kawaii TOWN, the first novel version of a campus light comedy in the country! Let the hand of time pierce through the lotus pond of years, repairing the blurred memories countless times. The ancestral makeup box still remains with an unchanging face, stubbornly guarding at the alley of reincarnation. Above the longing, beneath the tomb, my soul without a home blooms. The of dreams sweeps across the burning seasons, night after night, trimming the lonely phoenix tail. Praying to ancestors, forgetting the clear scars, in the next life after millions of years, even if happiness is full of charm, I do not seek a roaring eternal life, just quietly being with you.
From a formal perspective, Don't Run, I Like You is a campus romance novel with humor as its main theme. However, Xiao Qi did not simply leave the novel at the level of comedy or wordplay. While writing humorously, he also took a fresh perspective, profoundly interpreting the insights of the "new generation" when facing love. Overall, whether in terms of the tone of the writing or the arrangement of the plot, the novel tends toward a kind of "dual nature." This "dual nature" is: "Half fire, half ocean. Half bright, half hidden wounds." Xiao Qi first uses the seemingly absurd yet visually striking element of "being dumped by girls nine times within seven days" as the "hook" to start the story. Then, he successively portrays a series of stories such as "the bathroom incident," "romantic beach," and "temporary boyfriend," organically editing and stitching together these seemingly chaotic story fragments like a montage, leaving no gaps in the transitions.
A first-year college student named He Qi, who scores 59 points in looks, has achieved the glorious record of being dumped nine times in six days. He spent a fortune buying his friend's secret weapon, the Flower Extinguishing Manual, and studied it diligently, ready to embark on his tenth attempt. However, he was kidnapped by Xi Xiangmei, the beauty of the Law Department, and forced to sign the Temporary Boyfriend Rental Contract.
My name is He Qi. It is said that on the day I was named, my mom was playing mahjong in the next room and won N times with "self-draw seven-treasure" hands. So, my dad believed that "seven" was a good omen and settled for this infuriatingly named title. But even so, I have always been grateful to my dad. After all, he didn’t let me be named He Qi Tong.
Most of my "flock" is fenced with conscience and honesty, but there isn’t a single sheep in my "enclosure." Even if occasionally a couple of sheep "go astray," their types are usually limited to two:
1. Blind sheep.
2. Ugly sheep that can scare wolves to death.
Xi Xiangmei sat opposite me, savoring the joy brought by food. Meanwhile, I sat there, staring blankly at a pile of steamed buns. I don’t know if Xi Xiangmei did it on purpose, but the sound of her eating popcorn was especially crisp.
"What’s going on? How can someone come to KFC to eat steamed buns?" I exploded, shouting loudly.
Don't run, I like you
