The Brain Has Countless Thoughts -- The Open-mindedness of a Gentleman

Publication Date: 2003-01-01
Features: As for me, regarding these inescapable issues, I had thought about them when I was a primary school student, but due to my foolish ignorance, my thoughts were naive; when I was a farmer, I thought about them, but because I had just entered the fields, my thoughts were superficial; when I was a soldier, I thought about them, but because of the hectic military life, my thoughts were rushed; when I was in college, I thought about them, but because I was focused on absorbing knowledge, my thoughts were broad; when I approached the age of forty, I thought about them, but due to the tempering of life, my thoughts became relatively rational, profound, and systematic. Thus, I wrote this book, "A Thousand Thoughts in the Brain—A Gentleman's Optimism." I dare not say that this book is filled with precious advice and clear wisdom, and that everyone who reads it will gain abundant benefits, further deepening their understanding of life and discerning the times; but I dare say that I am a responsible person, and I have taken care to be serious and responsible with every chapter in the book. I have also strived to make the language simple and flowing, hoping to provide some "bricks of thought" with taste for those who are busy with official duties, business, studying, or labor, so as not to waste the precious time of my dear readers.
