Features: The treatment of severe and persistent mental illness is currently at a critical stage in its development. New pharmaceutical treatments have made the conditions of previously chronic and unstable psychiatric patients more stable. Due to the deinstitutionalization of mental health services and the increasing number of community mental health centers, various institutions and healthcare professionals in different settings can now provide mental health services. Mental health institutions have also undergone many changes. In many ways, mental health service providers have had to become more efficient in delivering services to attract their customers. As a result, most mental health institutions need to obtain accreditation from external review bodies, such as the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Organizations (JCAHO) and the Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Third-party payers often require that the patients we serve provide medical records with positive outcomes. With these changes in the field of mental health, the need for better service organization, treatment techniques, and medical records is self-evident. To meet this need, we have written this book, which involves many behavioral definitions, long-term and short-term goals, and therapeutic intervention methods previously written. These are designed for the various problems experienced by male and female patients with chronic mental illness. Therefore, this book is very useful for all mental health service providers. However, case managers (casemanager), supportive coordinators, social workers, or other certain professionals using this book should note that it is written from the perspective of the clinical physician responsible for the patient's entire treatment. All goals and intervention methods are designed based on the different types and severity of severe and persistent mental illness. We hope this treatment plan will enable clinicians to quickly and accurately develop and implement beneficial treatment plans for their patients. We also hope that by editing the treatment intervention methods, it can help clinicians discover more effective and new methods to help patients achieve their goals. In particular, the format of collecting various intervention methods related to a specific issue is also beneficial. We hope this will encourage clinicians to develop new methods to address old (or new) problems. However, since each patient has different characteristics, this book should not replace education, training, clinical judgment, and supervision.
