Features: The purpose of this book is to provide a comprehensive understanding of recent advances in the research of magnetic materials. The book is divided into four volumes, each focusing on a specific research field. Each chapter first elaborates on the basic concepts and important ideas of the chapter, then provides detailed explanations from experimental and theoretical aspects, and finally introduces the development prospects and new ideas in this field. The book provides extensive references for researchers to consult. In recent years, research on nanomagnetic materials has been very active. For example, the magnetic coercivity of particle-based magnetic materials increases as the particle size decreases, reaches a critical size, and then decreases. To achieve optimal magnetic coupling and strong magnets, the size of the soft magnetic phase must be less than twice the magnetic critical thickness of the hard magnetic phase. When the particle size is reduced to several nanometers, quantum effects must be considered. Volume 1 focuses on explaining the influence of nanoscale effects on the properties of magnetic materials. The target readers of this book are graduate students and researchers in related fields.
