What tests are needed for a missed miscarriage?

Patient's question:

How many months pregnant are you? Recently, I suddenly stopped feeling nauseous, but I've been experiencing abdominal pain. I went for a check-up and was told that there was a miscarriage. I'm so heartbroken. Could you please tell me what tests are needed for a miscarriage?

Doctor's answer:

If you have had a history of miscarriage, you need to have a thorough check-up on the following items before getting pregnant again.
1. A detailed examination of male sperm motility and morphology;
2. Female preconception screening (four or six items);
3. A comprehensive autoimmune test (including anti-sperm antibodies, anti-endometrial antibodies, anti-human chorionic gonadotropin antibodies, and anti-cardiolipin antibodies);
4. A routine examination of leukorrhea to screen for trichomoniasis, candidiasis, mycoplasma, chlamydia infection, vaginal inflammation, etc.;
5. Follicle monitoring via ultrasound;
6. ABO hemolysis and Rh blood group antigen system examination.
