Features: 3D Computer Graphics (3rd Edition) This book introduces the fundamentals of 3D computer graphics, including the concepts and implementation of computer imaging. It covers topics from "Mathematical Foundations of Computer Graphics" to "Representation and Rendering," and then moves on to "Image-Based Rendering and Photo Modeling," finally discussing computer animation techniques (including skeletal structures, collision detection, particle animation, etc.). Additionally, the book covers new advancements in computer graphics, such as advanced radiosity methods, animation, and precomputation techniques. This book is suitable as a textbook for university-related majors and also serves as a comprehensive reference for readers interested in 3D computer graphics. The book discusses the processes involved in converting the mathematical or geometric description of objects into visual products. The mathematical or geometric description is a computer graphics model, while the visual product is a 2D projection that simulates the appearance of real objects. Additionally, the book covers new advancements in computer graphics, mainly including:
· Advanced radiosity methods
· Animation
· Precomputation techniques
· Real-time applications with high complexity, such as progressive mesh optimization, BSP trees, and photo modeling techniques, etc.
The accompanying CD-ROM contains 400 graphics and several computer graphics programs.
