How is the treatment for vulvar leukoplakia better discovered?

Patient's question:

At first, I didn't feel anything uncomfortable, but recently, during intimacy with my husband, I felt very dry. Also, I often feel itchy outside my vulva. After checking, it was diagnosed as leukoplakia of the vulva. I'm not familiar with this condition. Could you please tell me how to treat leukoplakia of the vulva better?

Doctor's answer:

This condition is difficult to treat. If there is severe itching at the inflamed area, you can use decocted Chinese herbal medicine to steam and wash the external genital area 1 to 2 times daily. Then dry the area and apply a 2% compound testosterone ointment (this medication can be prepared by the patient under the guidance of a doctor) to the affected skin by gently rubbing it in with fingers. You can also take vitamin A orally, 250,000 to 500,000 units daily, and vitamin B6, 100 milligrams daily. During treatment, it is important to note that once the condition improves and itching subsides, you should not stop taking the medication abruptly to prevent recurrence. Instead, you can gradually increase the frequency of use, such as every other day or twice a week. Avoid spicy foods; prevent colds and all febrile conditions; and avoid hot springs baths.
