Features: The superior wisdom governs the heart, the inferior wisdom governs the force! Those who stand above us understand this supreme method of subduing others without fighting from the treasure trove of Chinese strategic learning. Li Yifu, from Yuanzhou Rangyang (now Rangyang County, Hebei) and later moved to Jianshan Yingtai (now Shehong County, Sichuan), transformed the seemingly complex and intricate "Art of Gaixin" into something simple and highly operational through ten aspects: Gaixin (measuring the heart), Yuxin (governing the heart), Qinxin (capturing the heart), Zongxin (releasing the heart), Duoxin ( - seizing the heart), and Zhuxin ( - annihilating the heart). Despite only coming from a small bureaucratic family, he mastered the wisdom of "Gaixin" and played with human and worldly affairs, serving as prime minister twice during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang. People called him "Heart Silver, Gentle Appearance," "Smiling with Hidden Blades," and referred to him as "Human Cat" or "Li Cat." Due to his disdain for the core principles of the popular "Zhixue" (Stopping Learning) by the Wenzong, he ultimately declined after his peak and died in exile.
Throughout Chinese history, the "Art of Gaixin" has been revered as a powerful tool for life skills and survival struggles in social competition, filled with mystery. How to psychologically dismantle others and conquer opponents—this is the most effective strategic wisdom. This principle may seem simple, but its practical application is far from easy, which also explains the mediocrity of most people. It must be acknowledged that those who achieved great things in history could all be called "Masters of Gaixin and Heart Conquest." Regardless of their personal experiences and social foundations, their shared trait was their skill in mastering the heart. While innate conditions cannot be chosen, post-natal efforts can change one's destiny—all of which relies on human intelligence. The "Art of Gaixin" is the pinnacle of wisdom. For those who aspire to success and upward mobility, understanding and mastering it is of utmost importance.
