Features: According to the notice No. 1 of the Water Bureau of the Ministry of Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design Administration on the issuance of the 2001 annual plan for the formulation and revision of technical standards for water conservancy and hydropower survey and design, and the "Regulations on the compilation of water conservancy technical standards," the "Code for Geological Survey of Small and Medium-sized Water Conservancy and Hydropower Projects" has been revised. This standard consists of 9 chapters, 27 sections, and 127 articles, along with 6 appendices. The main technical contents include: specifying the scope of application of this standard; unifying the stages, procedures, and accuracy of geological survey for small and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects; clarifying the tasks, content, methods, and requirements for each survey stage; and stipulating that each survey stage must submit a survey report and the outline for writing the report. The main revisions to the original standard include: adding a preface to the introductory section; including the content, requirements, and methods for surveying and designing for hazard-prone reservoirs for reinforcement and reinforcement projects; adding the content and requirements for surveying and designing for new resettlement sites for relocated residents; modifying the mapping scales for engineering geology surveys in each survey stage; removing the content on small-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects that was previously a separate section, and moving the survey content, methods, and requirements for small-sized projects to the basic provisions; adding some appendices; and other structural and textual modifications.
