Adhering to the principle of "less but better," they have selectively compiled junior high school entrance examination questions from Beijing and its districts over five years (2003 was excluded due to the impact of SARS, so Physics and Chemistry were only available for four years). The questions are selected according to different levels of difficulty, covering a wide range of knowledge, various types, and moderate difficulty, making them highly representative. They reflect the teaching spirit of adhering to the teaching syllabus, basing questions on textbooks, emphasizing fundamentals, highlighting key points, and fostering inquiry skills. Through targeted practice, these questions not only help students consolidate their foundational knowledge, identify gaps in their review early on, and adjust their study plans accordingly but also enable them to understand key assessment points, review question types, and enhance their exam-taking skills.

At the city level, junior high school entrance examinations before 2002 were locally administered, while from 2003 onwards, they were either centrally administered or locally administered in some districts. The selected questions include both centrally administered and locally administered ones. To broaden students' perspectives and help them understand question-setting patterns, we have also compiled some district-level preliminary examination questions from 2004 to 2005. Therefore, students can choose questions based on their own and their district's situation to achieve a comprehensive understanding, preparing them for intensive practice before the exam.
For convenience, all test papers in this book are identical to the original junior high school entrance examination papers, facilitating simulated practice. Note that the original exam does not include an optical-scanning answer sheet or answer booklet. During practice, students can write their answers in the blank spaces on the test paper. However, before the actual exam, students must carefully read the "Candidate Instructions" or "Notes" and answer according to the requirements.
"Reviewing the past to learn the new." We believe this book will be a valuable asset in helping you achieve success in the 2006 junior high school entrance examination with outstanding results.
