What are the factors that cause fallopian tube hydrops?

Patient's question:

What should be done about hydrosalpinx? My best friend wants a child but has been unable to conceive. She said it seems to be due to hydrosalpinx, and she's very afraid that she won't be able to have children anymore. What should be done about this condition? What should be done about hydrosalpinx?

Doctor's answer:

Hydrosalpinx is often caused by childbirth, miscarriage, unclean sexual intercourse, neglect of menstrual hygiene, or recurrent inflammation after gynecological surgery. A common symptom of hydrosalpinx is infertility. Hydrosalpinx refers to inflammation of the fallopian tube caused by pathogens, leading to edema of the inner membrane, interstitial edema, exudation, and shedding of the fallopian tube mucosal epithelium. The secretory fluid of the mucosal cells accumulates in the lumen, or it may result from adhesions at the isthmus and fimbriae due to recurrent fallopian tube inflammation, causing blockage and the formation of fallopian tube abscesses. When the pus cells in the lumen are digested, a watery liquid is eventually obtained.
