Explanation of Format (1) In the English-Chinese section, an entry consists of an English headword and its corresponding Chinese translation. In the Chinese-English section, an entry consists of a Chinese headword and its corresponding English translation. (2) In the English-Chinese section, the headword is printed in bold black type. If a word has different spellings that are similar, they are listed under the same entry, separated by commas. If the spellings are significantly different, they are listed in separate entries. In the Chinese-English section, the headword is printed in 14-point bold black type. If the headword is a single character, it is printed in 12-point bold black type. Extended entries for single characters are printed in 10-point font and listed after the main headword entry. Characters that are the same but have different pronunciations or meanings are listed in separate entries. The arrangement of entries in the Chinese-English section follows the order of the phonetic alphabet. If there are multiple derived entries, they are arranged based on the second character's phonetic alphabet. If the second characters are the same, the third character is used for arrangement, and so on. (3) When a word (including derived words, compound words) or an idiom has multiple different definitions, they are listed together, separated by commas or semicolons.
